Product configurator as selection assistant
For a large selection of items, a product configurator (or in this case the smaller version as a "selection assistant") is ideal for guiding your customers directly to the products they want. Your customers can access their desired products quickly and directly via prepared, targeted filters. In particular, customers do not have to deal with a large number of articles in order to identify the differences. Instead, customers can focus directly on the most important features. Depending on the situation, the selection can be made using a fixed sequence or a free selection of filters. After the selection process, the customer is directed to their target product or to an overview of the remaining, very limited selection of target products.

Examples of possible areas of application:
Typically all types of shops - for example, a clothing shop is much more convenient if it is divided into categories, colours, sizes etc.. Even better if these can be combined to simplify the search.
In general, configurators are suitable for all companies with a large product range - the type of products can be almost arbitrary.Examples:
- Cars
- Electrical appliances
- Clothing
- Toys
- Stationery
- Office supplies
- Furniture
- Printed products
- Watches
- Metal carrier
- Production machinery....
Fully-fledged configurator:
For dynamic articles, a configurator is ideal for configuring the product according to the customer's wishes. The customer is conveniently guided through the configuration process with supporting instructions and help. The configuration is divided into simple steps that are easy to follow and, in particular, do not require an overall understanding of the hidden complexity of the product as a whole. At each stage, the focus is on a specific feature that the customer can focus on and is offered direct, topic-related assistance. As a result, the customer does not feel overwhelmed or uncomfortable and is able to configure their desired product more quickly and easily. The configurator directly excludes invalid or impossible configurations. This prevents frustration on the part of the customer and also the need for additional support from the provider, who would have to process an invalid product enquiry retrospectively. In addition to the configuration, a preview image can clearly visualise the current configuration in each step. With our layer-based CGI technology, we can generate a realistic and detailed 3D visualisation for each configuration step. The customer can therefore see the effects of their selection directly as a real image. Of course, an abstract schematic representation or a combination of both is also possible.

Examples of possible areas of application:
Suppliers of dynamic products that can be customised or individualised. This applies to all products that are not "off the shelf" or that allow individual customisations such as engravings, inscriptions, structural modifications, etc. Examples:
- Cars
- Lifts
- Machines (of all kinds)
- Catalogue compilations (e.g. also with PDF generators)
- Showers
- Furniture
- Insurances
- Contracts (of all kinds)
- Text generators (optionally also with PDF)
Productless "configurations" of highly customisable "processes" are also conceivable, e.g. for:
- individualised services
- Event planning
- Repairs
- Building contracts
- Design instructions
Of course, a combination of the two types is also possible without any problems.
