FIRST PLACE IN THE "DIGITAL" CATEGORY AT THE WORLD CONFERENCE CENTRE IN BONN WITH AR SOLUTION
The Kolping Forum Foundation, RLS jakobsmeyer GmbH and Bielefeld University impressed the jury with their augmented reality project presentation The D.I.A. (Digitalisation.Inclusion.Work) project, funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the European Social Fund of the European Union, is a joint project of the Kolping Forum Foundation, RLS jakobsmeyer GmbH and Bielefeld University. Over 400 participants attended the two-day event at the World Conference Centre in Bonn (former Bundestag). The programme was hosted by Holger Beckmann from WDR. The development steps of the individual projects, the approach and the opportunities available to the respective users after the end of the project were presented. The jury assessed 60 projects and then evaluated them.
"We are very proud that we were able to set standards with our augmented reality presentation at this kick-off event and were awarded 1st place in the "Digital" segment," says Jan van der Poll, Sales Manager at RLS Jakobsmeyer GmbH.
Together with RLS, the Kolping Forum Paderborn Foundation, which is responsible for managing and coordinating the project, is also delighted with this success. The project's trial group consists of trainees and employees of the Hotel Aspethera in Paderborn. People with and without disabilities and restrictions have the opportunity to access digital learning content, adapted to their respective situations, and use it in their daily work and for further training, for example via mobile devices. Bielefeld University is supporting the project with Junior Professor Dr Anna-Maria Kamin with regard to media education and inclusive media didactics.
